“Under Water” project is an interactive application that enabling motion graphics on screen display interacting with the movement of users by tracking the data of positions through a camera’s real time video stream. The application was developed in Macromedia Director and a plugin to “translate” the video streaming to an array of data. On the screen display, the little fish will move along with the user’s movement, including direction and speed. It moves faster when the user accelerates, and increase the waving frequency of the water, also creating more bubbles. It also supports multiple users. This video is a simulator for testing the application by tracking mouse instead of the movement of users.
Tools to design the project: Illustrator, Photoshop, MacroMedia Director with Lingo script.
